A major skill that is missed nowadays is empathy, seeing yourself in someone else's shoes. As a leader, this skill is pivotal, you need to understand that your team might lag, that the intern at your team might not understand all the high level technicality you're hitting him/her with. An approach to deal with this is to make recurrent meetings that first confirm to the team your sole belief and trust in them, and then, a thorough follow up to see where the problem stems, whether it's from your end, or from others. Foster continuous learning by implementing relevant projects, and understand your team's capabilities, and their specificity, and don't overwhelm them with short timelines, high level goals. It's all in the mini steps.
