There are several things you can explore to try to engage your audience but it depends on the platform you're using and what features are available. You can use polls, create videos, or host live chats. Regardless of the tools, I think focus should be on the quality of the content you're putting out there and frequency.

Something that I often hear creators say is "I would create xyz content and I think my audience will really like it." I would suggest to change this pattern and start thinking along the lines of "if I was the audience, what kind of content would I enjoy?". Create more of that.

Analyze the problem and find the related solutions.Convert the best possible solutions of the problem in an interesting narrative story. It will keep the audience engaged. Highlight the key points in the presentation. Keep it concise, clear and meaningful. Use simple language to explain the complex idea. Use images, graphics and short videos. Visuals increase the engagement of the audience. Add charts or diagrams to explain the presentation. Don't use more than 10 slides and add minimal text to the slides. Convey the maximum information in minimum time. Practice the presentation in advance. Presentation should serve its purpose in a meaningful way.

It would be best if you planned your presentation for your virtual audience. I hope you have a good research about the topic of the discussion. You should make it personalized and shorten the long passages. As much as possible make the presentation less than an hour or 45 minutes. As we know people may get bored with long hours of presentation. Summarized the presentation with the best content and made it very engaging to the audience. Practice yourself in the mirror or front of your friends or family. Get feedback and revise for a better change. Have a good technical knowledge of using the selected platform and prepare yourself for some technical issues that may arise. Get ready for a Q&A and have a good sense of humor in the discussion.

Learn who your audience is! What is your goal/aim. Do your homework, make it your passion, believe it. Be human. Be prepared for technical blips if your prepared it wont phase you. People expect it.
