You're struggling to create engaging content. How can you use your creativity to make it more compelling?

One thing I've found to be helpful is to think of myself as the receiver. What would I want to hear? This question helps me put myself into the perspective of the end user and generate content that I as a user would want to engage with.

Do not unnecessarily complicate your understanding of your audience. One must keep in mind the fact the basic thing that audience in general is looking for is complex things explained in simple language or in simple frameworks. The content should be structured and delivered keeping this is at the base.

As a brand, it is imperative to know your audience. A visually appealing content may get eyeballs but may not get the desired engagement. I follow 3 basic rules for maximising engagement: - Address a problem statement - less is more when it comes to visuals - Conversational over monologue

In my experience, the biggest thing that I have found helpful is to conduct research and compile data and develop actionable insights about the audience I am seeking to target. This allows me to have a structured pov on the persona of audience and be close to heart beat, to what,my audience is seeking to see, to hear, to experience. It will also allow me to develop connection to the audience, helping me see myself in my audience's shoes, allowing me to develop relatable, tasteful content.

Be authentic: Be authentic and genuine in your content. Don't be afraid to share your own experiences, challenges, and learnings. Be relatable: What would you like to know or see? Try to create content that is focused on your interests - that usually appeals to your followers/ consumers. Be articulate: Express your emotions - use visuals - keep your language simple but catchy - use a catchy header. Be different: Don't fall into a prototype; let your content have some humor or a surprise element from time to time. Be kind: Never base your content to hurt someone. Always run through it many times before actually putting it out. Being authentic, relatable, articulate and different is creative! Being kind is human! But never stop trying!!!

Sadly ‘engaging content’ means multiple times to multiple people. It’s more or less a mixture of: 1) Great infographics 2) Personality 3) Building relatability using storytelling 4) Good ol’ humor

Did you know that people remember 80% of what they see versus 20% of what they read? I agree that it's important to invest in visuals like infographics, images, and video to complement your text. Visuals help break down complex ideas, add interest, and make your content more digestible.

What if we break the barrier … may be we try to break the wall between the story teller and the consumer… its like how interactive theater had been centuries ago. The real citizen or the consumer is both a performer and the audience. Years ago ,this experiment was done in Thomas Kyd's Renaissance play The Spanish Tragedy in 1585 and Shakespeare's Hamlet in 1601. The audience loved it. What if its reinvented and reimagined ? May be story of a murder mystery is solved with participatory audience … After all there is no harm in breaking walls.

Deep understanding of who you're creating for (including their accessible needs), their preferences guide towards crafting it as an experience that they can immerse themselves in - whether it's use of words and images they relate to, the apt hook to pique interest, the peeling away of the layers in the narrative with emotional heft to sustain the interest, the tangible takeaway, blend of formats that appeal to that audience.

Format the content using simple designs and environments. Also it is important to keep the accessibility in mind during the formatting of content. So that everyone can access the data easily. Use the proper color contrast and font size to showcase the content effectively.

Everyone had a story to tell. Just sharing yours to give a new perspective or idea some context will often make people think more deeply about it. When you just share an idea but don't take the time to make it personal or put a narrative around it, people get bored and move on. Soap opera and fictional books have huh fan bases for a reason.

It makes it your property, something that no one can replicate or copy It give you brand an identity and a brand story that people can connect with Brands are better promoted by stories and narratives As a creator, put value on your daily experiences and interactions with people Your stories will come from these encounters and you can use them to promote your brand

The first three sentences of the introduction of the content, are very important. In the very first sentences, we should tell the user's problem or tell a story about his problem and tell them we know your needs and you can stay with us! We can also keep the user with us by properly titling and answering the user's questions in each part. Additionally List, bolt and tables can give better user experience to the audience and helps you write engaging content.

Whether you're delivering a presentation, creating content, or engaging with your audience, storytelling can be a powerful tool for communication and connection.

Content – is all about how you delight with your ideas and thoughts. The story has to captivate, inspire and even educate to help spark curiosity and to encourage readers to ask questions. This will ultimately build on the story beyond the page. I think it’s important to share about the why and how the idea came about, it helps to leave a little personality…the human touch still has a place ;o)

Sometimes, people just want to see a face to be able to relate. If your content is struggling to perform, it’s probably because some people are visual learners and would benefit from seeing a face speak about the topic. Human interaction can be transferred in digital formats too when its authentic (even if you’re camera shy). People can relate. Another suggestion is to relate the concept of your content to a personal story you don’t mind sharing. And don’t forget to wrap them in with a strong opener. Ex: - Start off with results and share then work backwards on how you did it. - Start off with a personal story, then relate it to your concept to tie it all in at the end Everyone loves a good plot twist!

I am the biggest example of having good social media pages and not being able to post content regularly. This happens to me because of multiple reasons like content fatigue, laziness and what not! But one of the most important things that I will always remember from somewhere I picked up (I don't remember from where xP) is that "when people come to your page, what are they taking back, why should they come to your page?" This question keeps ringing in my head everytime I post something. And that is exactly what it is all about, adding value (what will people get) and adding personality (how attractive is your page or personality that explains why people should conume your content). Besides embracing your unique tone, it's crucial to adapt your narrative to resonate with your audience's language and preferences. Rather than simply recounting your story, aim to captivate your audience by ensuring your content is relatable and easily digestible. Incorporating everyday anecdotes and making your content understandable will compel your audience to engage with it

Let's be real. There's already too much content out there. If someone wants to read about XYZ topic, they can read it from a thousand different sources. There are viral Tik Toks about XYZ, XYZ affinity groups, entire blogs devoted to XYZ! So, what you add to the conversation should be more than noise. Above everything else, make it useful. Ensure it's well-researched, factual, laden with quotes. Then, make it distinct in that way only you can. Your similes are irresistible. Your perspective is fascinating. Your something-something is something special. Put it all together and run it by a colleague, an editor, and a Grammarly. Shake well, then proudly hit publish.

The content is only as good as its consumption. If your content does not appear to the right audience, your content is almost non-existent. Find out how well is your content performing by running analytics, gather feedback from internal and external customer, and identify discussions where your content was linked or shared. Connecting the dots is very crucial for every writer. Identify the important keywords used by your audience, ensure to update your metadata, and tag your content accurately. This feedback implementation should never stop and always keep your content updated based on the feedback.

I recently participated in a request for feedback by a podcast marketer on his offerings and companion newsletter. I was pleasantly surprised to see that his next newsletter quoted some candid constructive criticism he’d received, shared his appreciation and applied the advice right away. That humility and responsiveness made me more of a fan than ever. Takeaway? Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable. We are all in this together and the human side draws us all in.

Find a few trusted friends - the ones who are willing to tell you that you look fat in those pants and let them read or listen. Ask them for it straight with no sugarcoat. Sometimes all you need is a good bump to get you back on course. Oftentimes readers and listeners won't give you the feedback you need so go looking for it!

Seeking feedback and driving inspiration are two pillars that are often not laid enough focus. While working on my startup - one of the most important things in the initial stages was - Pilot testing. Similarly while developing strategic content and expecting your audience to find it useful -you need to showcase the outcome and seek valuable inputs. The next step is constant improvements and moderations - the same needs to be quick as per your seekers inputs because you don’t want to loose on the undue competition which might be there. Understand innovation is not only doing something new - it is a cycle of continuous improvements to make one product that would change the way how the world perceives you!

There are no hard and fast rules really. There's one thing that I find helpful though, I am not sure if it will work for others. Whenever I find myself struggling to write something, I turn to reading great pieces of literature. Reading can be a great source of motivation. So, read, read and read. And then read again ??

When you are looking for inspiration, do something different! Try one of these things: - Go outside and see what you notice around you. - Listen to a podcast - maybe something you've never listened to before. - Close your eyes and just focus on what you can hear around you for a few moments. - Do something arty or crafty - don't worry about having to do it well. Just do it. - Declutter a drawer or your computer desktop. - Read a page of a dictionary. Yes! Seriously. - Do a puzzle of some kind. - Phone a friend for a chat. - Do some exercise. Even a few stretches is good. - Sing a song! All of these ideas have been tried and tested, and all of them work for some people. Good luck!

Just start writing or laying something out on the page. Once you get momentum, start adjusting what you have. A blank page is harder than a full one

When your marketing feels stale, sometimes a new perspective can make all the difference. Consider collaborating! Be open to exploring ideas with others in your industry, your team, or even your audience to spark something fresh. Being willing to take an unconventional approach can add a richness to your content and broaden its appeal.

Content that converts will always follow this simple 3-step content ‘arch’: 1) The why - this is context and background as to “why” your audience should be compelled to take an action. 2) The story - this is when you dive into the actual story. It can be personal, a case study, a review of someone else’s experience. Stories are critical when making a lasting impact on your audience. Human beings have been telling stories around the fire place for millennia and it’s deeply rooted in how we connect and make decisions. 3) Lastly, the Call to Action (CTA) - if you’ve done a good job at creating a compelling “why” and building a story in someone’s mind, they will BEG you for what to do about it. Give them the next steps.
