If we have an Office 365 subscription, we can store content in a shared location like OneDrive, where we can grant permissions to individuals as needed. These files will be secured and will not be accessible to any unauthenticated users

The project plan should define cloud authentication & authorization policies, and levels of access to each team member (local/remote). A login should be assigned using a cloud-supported LDAP/similar software with built-in security features. A team-wide training program that states how to access, change/edit & dispose critical project data/documents is essential. If someone needs more authorization, he should formally request & digitally sign a change request form, stating the purpose. The team should know the current password rules & understand how to store it safely & securely, since it is usually the 1st point of a data security breach. Access logs should be regularly checked for attempted phishing. White hat hacking should be encouraged.
