Design role based mechanisms so users can request and get authorisation from designated persons for the resources. It may be required for some users to have the same level of access as before but if there is scope of improvement so try to fill the security gap.

Having a SIEM is mandatory for most organizations, that's no surprise. What is important to remember is some SIEM products involve automated remediation (orchestration) capabilities, AKA SOAR capabilities. Why is that important? Because if the SOAR capabilities are turned on, either by default or not, it could potentially conflict with other mechanisms that protect your cloud/on-pres infra, such as CSPM/CWPP/CASB, and cause errors. Bottom line, monitor everything, yet connect your monitoring infrastructure only to one remediation solution, or more than one only if they are complimenting solutions.
