Use whiteboards to interactively draw diagrams showing the basic math of the algorithm. The interactivity is important, it keeps the audience engaged. Drawing it from scratch is good for your brain and also establishes you understand the algorithm in detail. Most AI algorithms you would want to explain to an exec can be drawn as a diagram. Many can be drawn using the visual paradigm of an x,y,z axis 3d space as a simplification of the n-dimensional spaces in AI.
