Culture, culture culture! This is where you want to start. I always start with something like "Tell me about the culture", and go from there. While all of the other stuff is very important, at the end of the day, you have to suss out whether this is where you want to focus your energies. Every tech company I have worked for spends a LOT of time working this issue in their interview cycle (typically a candidate will talk to 6-8 people, in AMER, EMEA and APAC to get the full range of perspectives). After all, if the culture is wrong, nothing else will matter very much, and the candidate will be gone in 12-18 months.
