Pick three or four examples that you are prepared to share and expand on if there are followup questions. At the same time, be prepared for the question of "When was a time that you fell short of expectations?" The key to this example is to make certain that you learned from that incident and can demonstrate how you grew and improved personally through the experience.

Your attitude and demeanor can make or break your CRE interview. You need to be confident and professional at all times. You need to dress appropriately, arrive on time, greet your interviewer with a smile and a firm handshake, and maintain eye contact and good posture throughout the interview. You need to speak clearly, concisely, and confidently, avoiding filler words, slang, or jargon. You need to be polite, respectful, and positive, avoiding negative comments, complaints, or excuses. And you need to thank your interviewer for their time and follow up with a thank-you note.

6 Not being honest and authentic

The last mistake you can make in a CRE interview is to lie or exaggerate. You may think that this will make you look better, but it will only backfire. Your interviewer will likely check your references, your resume, and your online presence, and they will find out if you're being dishonest. And even if they don't, you will have a hard time performing well in the role if you don't have the skills or experience you claimed to have. Instead of lying or exaggerating, be honest and authentic. Show your personality, your passion, and your potential. And be yourself, because that's who they want to hire.
