If you’re using a small and light camera (like a Panasonic GH5 or Sony A9 III, etc), locking your elbows against your body and moving your body from left to right, can help run your shots more smoothly when shooting hand held. The heavier cameras (preferred) can be used with a ‘Flycam’ or ‘Easyrig’. When renting, it doesn’t have to be all that expensive. As camera comes across the floor or down from the rafters to reveal a character I think with digital even though images are getting way better not only adding atmosphere but putting that extra edge on sound design can make the film seem bigger
