One thing that I have seen while talking and networking during the start of my career as a designer is that having the ability to connect with the client and other designers is something that can’t be underestimated. Getting to understand the personal connection between you and the other person is a must when it comes to creating something unique and meaningful. Keep it Simple. The biggest mistake I see is when people (myself included) try and over design something. I’ve had some fantastic professors and the best advice they have given is not to try and reinvent the wheel. Keep your projects simple but your own just don’t get lost in the infinite cycle of “what if i just added…”
