You can assign authority but not responsibility. There are several ways to catch up. Hopefully your leadership style is building up those around you and when you need to lean on your network and teams, they are there for you. You then switch from doing it all yourself to managing the talent around you. Other solutions would be to prioritize based on timeline, contract limitations, or resources.

Complex tasks should always be broken down into simpler units of analysis. Tasks are goal-oriented and constitute the set of steps, actions or stages necessary to achieve the defined goal. Tasks should be decomposed and then prioritized. In many cases the order of priority is defined by an established sequence that cannot be changed. The bricks of a building are no less important than the foundation, but the foundation always comes first.
