The Eisenhower Matrix is an effective method often used to help with prioritizing tasks. You only need to ask yourself if something is important, and if it is urgent. The matrix then gives you four quadrants, each with a recommended action: Urgent & important: do it now Not urgent & important: plan when to do it Urgent & not important: delegate it Not urgent & not important: remove it This simple method can give you clarity on what to action first, and perhaps even more importantly - what to stop doing.

When feeling overwhelmed with merchandising tasks, it’s important to prioritize efficiently. Here's a strategy to stay organized: List all tasks: Categorize by urgency and importance: Sort tasks into categories like "urgent," "important," and "can wait." Prioritize tasks that have deadlines or impact on sales. Break large tasks into smaller steps: Delegate where possible: If you're part of a team, delegate non-critical tasks. Focus on high-priority tasks that require your expertise. Use a time block method: Review and adjust regularly: Minimize distractions: This approach helps manage the pressure and keeps you moving in the right direction!
