In a recent project, I faced resistance when proposing renewable energy integration. I initiated a structured dialogue to understand my colleague’s concerns, whether financial, technical, or operational. By aligning our discussion with shared business goals—such as long-term cost savings and regulatory compliance—we identified mutual benefits. Bringing in an energy consultant provided data-driven insights, helping to bridge the gap. Gamified scenario planning, using AI-driven simulations, further demonstrated the feasibility and ROI, ultimately turning resistance into collaboration for a sustainable solution.

Sensitize him to the perils of climate change and business as usual scenario. Will try to gauge his reservation towards renewable energy and will try to counter it with reasonable justifications in favour of renewable energy. Will ask him to provide measurable data to support his reservations towards renewable energy and thereby counter it with pointwise rebuttals . Will seek his support to establish a pilot to analyze the gains emanating from adoption of renewable as a proof of concept.

Unfortunately nowadays everything in business is about money. It is necessary to be initiated a conversation based on facts, examples, analysis. Everyone to share his/her points of view. Under the line will apear the most relevant solve of the problem. The good is that in Bulgaria already there is strict regulations aboud reneweble energy integration.

Sometimes the hardest part about disagreements regarding climate change and sustainable energy integration is that people will move the goal post. Which is to say that no matter what evidence you bring up, they give a "yeah but what about XYZ?" response. To counter this, try setting a firm goal before engaging in the conversation. "If I can show you that renewable integration will save you 30% in the long run on energy bills" or "if we can seal the envelope right, we can reduce energy expenditure by 50% or more" and get the other side to agree that this is a good thing before proceeding.

Stick with logic. It is unarguable. What is the most efficient and the path of least resistance. Biomimicry at the design level and operational level. Biotecture
