I recommend according to my experience in manufacturing to know how they produce the merchandise, understand how it′s handling production planning and finally know the warehouse operations. Second visit with your logistics suppliers and how they handle operations from your product including your customs broker, ask a lot of questions remember they are your partners, and if you give the wrong information everything in the operation will cause huge problems including cancellation from your final customer, and all the cost will be on your organization.
