Everything that is designed to secure can eventually be exploited, every lock can be picked, your goal should be to make it so frustrating and time consuming that threat actors are dissuaded and go after easier targets, and that if one does stick around long enough to get through your defenses that you are able to detect it as soon as humanly possible. No solution is completely secure, but a layered solution that involves elements of zero trust, network segregation and reliable endpoint protection can keep key servers or computers safe if there is a compromise on the firewall. You also need visibility. A SIEM with a SOC is the best option here, as it will reduce your manhours spent checking logs etc.
