Escuchar activamente es primordial para ser capaz de resolver objeciones, superar la resistencia en primeras presentaciones a clientes y en resumen conseguir más ventas. Además de escuchar activamente, es decir, estar atento y entender lo que el cliente está diciendo, deberíamos demostrar que escuchamos: -Dando opiniones sobre lo que el cliente está diciendo. -Haciendo preguntas importantes al respecto (interés) -Confirmar en algún momento sus afirmaciones. Se debe mirar al cliente a los ojos (nunca fijamente), nunca interrumpirle y cuando hablemos para confirmar nuestra escucha activa siempre de manera tranquila y clara.

La comunicación debe trabajarse adecuadamente en el ámbito de reuniones profesionales. Aún teniendo un buen discurso o elevator pith preparado, la comunicación puede fallar debido a las expresiones. Quizá estamos diciendo una cosa con nuestra palabras y otra con nuestro lenguaje no verbal. ?Cuántas veces no nos han dicho en nuestra vida normal, "no es lo que me has dicho si no como me lo has dicho" Albert Mehrabian, afirma que en una conversación cara a cara el componente verbal es un 35% y?más del 65%?es comunicación no verbal. Mirada, sonrisa, posición del cuerpo, de las manos, ademanes, todo comunica. Pero la buena noticia es que se puede aprender y practicar.

Preparar la reunión es clave para el éxito. Tanto si es una presentación a un cliente nuevo como si se trata de una negociación. En ambos casos hay pasos fundamentales para ir preparados: 1- Saber quién es la persona con la que te vas a entrevistar (mirar su perfil y sus publicaciones). 2- Investigar la empresa (sus últimos movimientos, políticas e intereses). 3- Pensar en una estrategia a seguir que confluya con los objetivos marcados.
