It is essential to identify the root cause of power struggles, which often stem from communication gaps, biases, or organizational structure issues. Actively listen and ensure every voice is valued, regardless of position. In my experience, fairness is critical. Make decisions transparent and hold everyone accountable to the same standards. Avoid favoritism and distribute recognition equitably based on contribution, not status. Leadership roles and decision-making opportunities should be shared across the team either through mentorship programs, rotating roles, or simply being mindful of who dominates the discussion during meetings. By being mindful of this, you will be able to intervene to create a more equitable environment for all.
