X out hierarchy, make the process inclusive, if you have to have a doctor sign off on something that’s one thing, but take advice from the boots on the ground guys and gals, they usually have more insight than someone sitting in an office barking out orders. I have respect for letters but I also respect when they respect someone without. We can all have day in the spotlight, but do not think letters means you have an actual ability for human connection. The logistics behind advocacy is simple, listen to the patient, not the individual who’s not listening to them. If I hear someone prescribe a maintenance drug to someone who’s been clean for a while I’ll speak up and say why? Why do you ask? Because that’s common sense. ???
