Having a diversity of perspectives is useful but, yes—sometimes you can get caught in the weeds. ?? My advice is make sure your learning objectives are well crafted, and refer back to them regularly. ??? I use Mager's Conditions, Performance, Criteria formula. How about you? Do you prefer Bloom's? Anyway, crafting objectives is the process of getting clear and specific about what the goal of the e-learning is. ?? When scope creep inevitably happens(!!), you should be able to quickly look up if the suggested change aligns with the goals. If it doesn't, it means either the suggested change is not needed, or it means the objectives need to be revisited. Any content not aligned with objectives can be provided as supplementary materials.??

peer consensus is a great perspective...but if those peers are set to a managerial agenda...you've lost all independence. Training specialists can decide the methods...just ensure you have QUALIFIED STAFF to do the job in the first place, and peers can get on with their own busy lives.

Evidence of success? Depends on what you're trying to measure...success is often mistaken for a high exam score, real success should be measured by the output of the capability you've trained the staff for. If your training means your staff can conduct the role successfully...then that's the measure. Just invest in qualified delivery staff, they will know the measure and they'll know how long it takes to consistently reach it. Far too many alleged online traiers out there that don't even understand Maslows hierarchy of needs.
