You're in a meeting with your colleagues. How can you make sure everyone is heard?

Paraphrase what has been said: Reflect back on what has been said to ensure that you have understood it correctly. 7. Listen to understand: All voices are important, and everyone's opinion is valid.

A term I’d like to add to the discourse is intention. What is our intention for this meeting? We’ve heard it one too many times, this meeting should’ve been an email. It’s been my experience to have successful meetings when first thinking of what you are intending to complete or solve with in the meeting. No one likes their time wasted. When you and everyone else in the meeting, understands the intention behind scheduling the meeting in the first place, success rate, buy in, comprehension and action significantly improves.

Ask everyone to speak clearly, and loudly, otherwise they definitely will not be heard. Turn off any distracting punk rock music in the room or people will start jumping up and down. It helps if the person speaking has a big stick or an iron bar to hit people who aren't listening, which tends to be an effective method for regaining control of an inattentive or distracted room.

When team is already finalized with some targeted people , have clear cut roles in discussion. That way everyone will be eagarly participate in it.

Muy importante no dejar de tener en control como mediador en las reuniones, es normal que siempre tengamos desacuerdos, pero no debemos de olvidar que cómo miembros de una misma empresa, los objetivos son colectivos, siempre es bueno escuchar todos los puntos de vista, al final se sacará lo mejor de cada colaborador.

Try to integrate collaborative tools and platforms like Miro board, etc. where everyone will get time to jot down there perspective and ideas over some topics and after that everyone will discuss over it. In this way everyone will put there point as well as we can store these ideas sharing somewhere where we can go through it in future. Key point is to utilise tools available in market to collaborate and increase productivity of everyone.

Use tools such as megaphones so everyone can hear! This also ensures that if anybody is tired or zoning out, you can use the high level of volume from the megaphone to snap them out of tiredness and put them back in the zone.

If you're leading the meeting, you should have an agenda. However, you should structure that agenda so that is poses questions to the attendees. You can't possibly know everything, so this approach can yield new ideas and pathways. People are more likely to get on board with ideas where everyone contributes.
