My 5-step approach. Imagine you are managing the development of a role-playing game. 1. Clear Communication Clear communication using tools like Slack etc. 2. Define Roles and Responsibilities ( Clearly defining roles prevents overlap and confusion) For your game project, you might assign one person to handle the UI/UX design, another to focus on coding game mechanics, and another to create in-game assets like characters and environments. Roles overlap results in confusions and delays. 3. Use Task Management Tools (Clickup / Trello) (Do not confuse task management with communication and take sprint review meetings seriously) 4. Regular Check-ins. (Standups) 5. Document Everything This step is crucial and one of the most ignored ones.

Have clear set expectations from your team. Have clear project timelines & goals Have clear tasks The make sure you align each day/week on those. Then go ahead and execute.

According to my experience, here are some effective strategies for assigning tasks: 1- Set Clear Goals and Expectations: Clearly define what you need and expect from your team. 2- Be Flexible and Adaptive: Adjust tasks and roles based on project needs to build trust as a leader. 3- Monitor Workload and Avoid Burnout: Ensure no one is overwhelmed. Use tools like Asana, Trello, or Jira to manage tasks effectively. 4- Encourage Collaboration: Create an environment where team members feel comfortable asking for and offering help, even outside their usual roles. 5- Understand Team Members' Strengths: Identify each member's technical and soft skills to enhance productivity and work quality.

Steps that have helped me on past teams: - Build a RACI Matrix early that especially defines whom does what and who signs off / approves work vs who does not - Agree upon how the team will communicate and the expectations therein - daily status updates, real-time chat, daily or weekly check-in calls, etc. - Have tasks and work documented THOROUGHLY, especially with what constitutes a 'finished' task, and tracked in a shared tool. This might be as simple as an asset-tracking spreadsheet to something more advanced like a ticket / Jira workflow. - Do regular post-mortems or brainstorms with the team around the process and how it's working, what could be improved, etc.

Steps: 1. Sharing data with my team about the final product which is expected from us along with the deadline. 2. Dividing work to specific individuals as per their forte and discussing what they need (besides what will I be giving) to complete it. 3.Setting small deadlines for specific stages of work so that every individual does their work with full responsibility. A work hours chart have to be made. 4. Monitoring deadlines & quality checking from time to time before each small deadline. Making sure no one is stuck at any stage or has any confusion until the goal is achieved.

After initial meetings i would set clear timebound KPIs with the team and follow up with them weekly. This will help my team become more productive and they dont have to attend team meetings daily. The teams would need to have detailed notes on the set KPIs at weekly meetings.
