In my experience I have noticed that providing feedback to every individual/ new individual in a constructive way can be a good exercise in a way. But I also believe, we can suggest employees to shadow someone else work, this will probably provide the employee with the opportunity to learn from each other which not only will give them a different perspective/ feedbacks to look at things but will also promote team dynamics.
In my experience providing immediate and candid feedback always helps and the team/people will respect you more. If you wait for the yearly performance review to give feedback, you have robbed the chance for that person to improve over the year. On the other hand, everyone of us looks for positive affirmation from our leaders. Celebrating small victories is important as it will increase their confidence and motivation.
Feedback is very important, of course, but it should be delivered at the right time and in the right place. Knowing how to coach is the beginning of a long journey. I believe all managers should provide constructive feedback and gradually transition to delegating authority. First, get to know yourself. A good therapist might be helpful. Figure out what motivates and recharges you. Develop personal routines accordingly (check out Andrew Huberman's daily routine for inspiration). All this will help you, just like you will be able to apply your personal discoveries to your team. Also, structure your team work in cycles. You will not be able to peak all the time. That is fine. Take this into account when planning. Define the necessary duration of high performance and then allow for cool down and reward.
It's so important that your team, above all feels heard and able to speak to you if something is not as it should be. We all live in a world where we push stresses and strains to one side and keep on going until its too late. The best management makes it clear that yes we are looking for results, but not to the detriment of anyones mental health. Make sure that everyone is taking down time as well as drive time. We are all the same. It does not matter whether you are a Graduate Design Engineer or a VP, you need to take time for you and for those around you to enjoy life. Life is not predominantly about work, but if you are happy in life you will smash work and be pleased to do so. Work life balance is King and should have always been !
My observation on this point is that it is stated backwards. If you take care of your team first they will perform well and take care of you. If you are the manager, you may not be the leader of the team. Managers are appointed and have certain responsibilities and goals set by higher levels of management but that does not make them "leaders". To lead you have to have followers and that comes from trust, and relationship building not just by delegation. Keep an eye on how people are doing and what it is that would help them perform better. Those having problems need attention and care to help them through or around the issues that are pulling them down.

Planning out their vacation helps team members balance their lifestyle, but it also gives the rest of the team visibility into absences when planning the next phase of a project. Best practice is to remind the team quarterly to schedule their vacation time.
Usually, team can’t perform at their best without a trust. A trust between each other, between a person and their manager, between the team and company leadership.
