Keeping Your Tech Team on Track Hey! Leading a tech project with conflicting priorities? Here’s how I’d handle it: Set Clear Goals: Make sure everyone knows the main objectives. Regular Check-ins: Revisit the roadmap often to adjust priorities. Open Communication: Encourage the team to share thoughts and concerns. Align Stakeholders: Keep everyone updated regularly. Focus on Customers: Prioritize what customers need most. Motivate the Team: Celebrate small wins and recognize efforts. Track Progress: Use KPIs to measure and adjust as needed.

Clearly documenting and defining roles and responsibilities of the different team members is very important. Constant monitoring and documenting project activities is important to manage conflicting priorities. Often the conflict may happen because of different members from different orgs coming together for a project, and a sense of insecurity Among the team members. It is very important to make sure transparent communication mechanism is established so that every team member is confident that their contribution is recorded and valued. Finally, it all comes down to the leader of the team, a strong team leader over communicated and manages the individual insecurities and conflict among team members.

é essencial definir objetivos claros e alinhar expectativas.

You have to define the priorities very clear to your team and to communicate the order to conclude the activities. Sometimes, I see projects team struggling with too many priorities at the same time as everything seems to have priority 1 (critical). Defining the tasks to achieve the goal and their priorities will help the team to understand what they have to accomplish first. Also, you can break the project down into several dynamic phases, commonly known as sprints. (Agile methodology). Agile is a great way to advance the project into phases as well as give empowerment to the team to feel part of the success delivering the project goal. And don't forget to celebrate the quick wins and to thank you team for each important step concluded.

Hi! For me, keeping the right focus of the tech or agile team is a sum of different things: - The project manager should filter the long term uncertainty and create certainty in the short term. This will help the team to not lose the focus. - The certainty should be measure with clear KPI and the goals of the project should be SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound). - For every step of the project, clear outputs must be defined by the team. We frequently use the concept of MVP (Minimum Viable Product). - Use scrum methodology or lean thinking as a way to move the team through the project. - Last but not least, Risk management to stay one step ahead. It’s better to work before issues happen or at lest try it
