Innovation is key to any business right now. First of all as leader, it is of prime importance to communicate what we want to achieve with innovation and make it clear about why same is urgent for the business. As part of the development strategy, I would create a cross functional team, not only with managers, to work on innovative strategies to promote collaboration within the team and make sure all understand the goals and objectives for same. Above all a good leader should lead by example by also participating and focusing on innovation.
