In VR and remote collaboration tools used for general meetings are highly effective. They enhance engagement and streamline workflows in a virtual environment. What I do is choose a tool that aligns with my team's specific needs and workflow.

As of the end of 2023, VR hasn't significantly improved remote collaboration. Current VR uses, mainly avatars in virtual rooms, don't offer more useful information than a Zoom call. However, 2024 might bring AR/VR collaboration with better data visualisations that work well in a spatial 3D view, something not possible in 2D or 2.5D. The reason I am curious is because Apple enters the market (Apple Vision Pro).

The most important thing to consider is the "objective of the collaboration". I see 3 core types: 1- General team building activities with bigger groups that benefit from a level of novelty and entertainment (Spatial is a good one) 2- Smaller team meetings trying to recreate an office experience (probably Workroom) 3- Truly creative exercises with a focused team where participants can do design and ideate spatially (ShapesXR due to the ease of use and storytelling capabilities)

Richtig gut ist auch spatial.io, weil sie kostenlos ist, dennoch eine umfangreiche Funktionspalette anbietet, intuitiv anwendbar ist und sich deshalb auch einfach mal für Anf?nger:innen und deren erste Schritte sehr gut eignet. Absolute Championsleague ist aber m.E. 3spin Learning, mit der unfassbar viele Sachen m?glich sind und die mittlerweile auch ChatGPT als Hilfs-Tool integriert haben. Vorschlag: wenn Du noch keine Erfahrungen mit VR-Kollaborationsplattformen hast, beginne einfach mal mit spatial.io. Es lohnt sich. Viel Spa?!

FrameVR.io is a great tool we used as a pitching platform when it was not that convinient to use VRChat for that. With the possibility to add 360 panoramas and videos, webcam stream and 3d objects, it gives an ability to do a quick MVP-prototype of the upcoming project. However, major part of collaboration in VR is the same as in any other project: - Properly organised Google Spreadsheet - Miro board with references and flow charts - Vimeo PRO account to upload secure links to "flat" versions of your experiences - Platform to chat between the members: Discord / Telegram Group (latest is much easier with pro account which could transcribe your voice messages)

I think it really depends on what we are building if we are prototyping experiences shapesXR no doubt would be great and if we are prototyping actual products gravity sketch is an awesome option it might be intimidating at first but all the VR tools have a level of intuitiveness so you get easily accustomed lastly if you wanted more creative expression I’d look at tilt brush which is more fluid and organic.

One of the major difficulties we encounter these days in VR is the factor of diziness on prolonged used not limited to the headaches and eye fatigue. The technology mostly limits its use as the comparably heavy headset cannot be used for an extended period of time.
