When leading any type of team is crucial to set the priorities straight and clearly define the goal for every team member to understand. From there, one should individually talk to every teammate to show them their partition in the "play" and how their contribution help achieve the general goal. At the end, as the leader of such cross-functional team, we must be able to maintain the team focused on the goal.

Having a clear role assigned to team members helps focus efforts, optimize parallel/sequential works and minimize wastes. It is also a good tool to assign and follow-up milestones, as well as accountability. This could encourage team members to work outside their comfort zone and acquire new knowledge and skills. In cross-functional team assignments, it is a great tool to break silo mentality. Care must be taken, however, to not confuse this with job descriptions. And if periodic assessments show that creativity and contributions of individual team members are being limited, then it is a clear signal to trigger a reassessment.

When it comes to role definition, knowing your team's strengths and weaknesses is essential to harvest the real benefits of the crew's diversity. Some great managers can beautifully design a very well-structured group where everyone fits in their role to bring the best out of every team member and produce the best results at the same time. A clearly defined role for everyone, it must be understood and owned by the member. For example, the 3D printing technician shouldn't feel less than the designer. That's in my opinion the best way to keep the team working together and provide value to the project.

Beispiel: Bei einem Prototyping-Projekt zur Prozessoptimierung habe ich die Rollen in meinem Team klar festgelegt – der Finanzplaner kümmerte sich um die Budgetüberwachung, der Ingenieur um das Design, und der Testingenieur um die Testphasen. Das Ergebnis? Ein reibungsloser Ablauf und ein erfolgreiches Projekt! Fazit: Mit klaren Rollen arbeitet das Team wie ein Uhrwerk – pr?zise und effizient! ???

Tipp: Verwende digitale Tools wie Trello, Slack oder Microsoft Teams, um die Kommunikation und Zusammenarbeit zu verbessern. Beispiel: W?hrend eines Prototyping-Projekts haben wir Microsoft Teams eingesetzt, um den Fortschritt zu verfolgen und Probleme in Echtzeit zu l?sen. Collaborative tools makes prototyping way easier. Firstly, Design wise some popular tools used are SOLIDWORKS Collaborative Designer and Autodesk drive as they help keep track on the design evolution. Secondly, coupling these designing tool with basing Microsoft 365 modules can be a game changer. For example, Microsoft planner offers both efficient task management and project tracking. Next is SharePoint for document management. It is highly customizable and can be adapted to the team architecture. In conclusion, choosing an easy-to-use tools for that will take care of 3D models files, synch project related documents and track the project task is a good approach to enhance collaboration when it comes to crossdiscipline prototyping team

Tipp: Erstellen Sie einen Risikoplan, der m?gliche Probleme identifiziert und L?sungen vorschl?gt. Beispiel: Bei einem Prototyping-Projekt haben wir einen Risikoplan erstellt, der potenzielle Probleme identifizierte und L?sungen bereitstellte. Dadurch konnten wir die Risiken minimieren und das Projekt erfolgreich abschlie?en. Fazit: Ein guter Risikoplan ist wie ein Sicherheitsnetz – er f?ngt Fehler auf, bevor sie zum Problem werden! ?????
