Well hopefully we're not launching it yet! The answer is really quite simple - don't even begin to build your product until you have a brand strategy. And if your brand strategy doesn't clearly articulate who your customers are and the problem your product solves for them, then put down your design pen and devote ALL your time to figuring this out. While it might be advisable under the right conditions to move fast and break things, to be lean enough to pivot your business strategy on a dime, to follow your gut, and to "fail fast", you'll risk failing catastrophically if you don't take the time to understand your target customers and your product-market fit before making the investment in product development.

1. Tell stories to strengthen the brand values: Get rid of the fluff, strip down the product into bare essentials and think of the genuine impact on customers and ways to resonate the experience. Users don't care about your values, they care about the stories you choose to tell. 2. Nurture curiosity: Create a curiosity around what it feels like to experience the product (just like a movie teaser). Focus on outcomes, excitement, and transformation. Don't tell what's unique about your product--let the users discover that uniqueness. 3. Humanize your brand/product: Show the humans behind the brand instead of polished PR. Sharing something raw (like an unexpected hurdle the team overcame) adds depth to the messaging.

To ensure your new product messaging aligns with your brand strategy, think of it like a family reunion—everyone needs to be on the same page! Start by reflecting on your brand’s mission and vision, like a compass guiding your product in the right direction. Dive into customer feedback—it's like asking the relatives what they really want at dinner (hint: not fruitcake). Keep your tone and style consistent, so your messaging sounds like one harmonious choir instead of a karaoke night gone wrong. Got tips for aligning messaging with brand strategy? To ensure the messaging for a new product aligns with the brand strategy, I would first revisit the brand's core values, mission, and tone of voice. Then, I’d develop messaging that reflects these elements while highlighting the product's unique benefits. Consistency across all channels—whether social media, website, or advertising—is key, ensuring the product feels like a natural extension of the brand. I would also gather input from key stakeholders to ensure alignment and use feedback from target audiences to fine-tune the message.
