Even if it is just a single data visualization, it is proof you want to move into the field and you have a chance to show potential clients how you think about design choices and you really want to visualize data. You can combine your portfolio together with posting about it on LinkedIn, or you can participate in data challenges to show you work, which makes your reach bigger for potential clients.
