Preventing burnout in creative work, especially under tight deadlines, requires strategic balance. For example, a global design firm, IDEO, implemented a "design thinking" approach that encourages iterative processes and regular breaks, leading to a 30% boost in team productivity without compromising creativity . Similarly, the advertising agency Leo Burnett emphasizes open communication and flexible work hours, resulting in a significant drop in turnover rates . Prioritizing mental health through team-building activities, setting realistic goals, and incorporating downtime can enhance creativity and sustain motivation, turning tight deadlines into opportunities for innovative breakthroughs .

Often it can be the perfectionism that’s contributing to the burnout. Make sure when using the computer for a long time to go into brightness settings and default to warmer colors to avoid strain. Having breaks from creating is important as well to look at everything with a fresh set of eyes.

Tight deadlines while juggling multiple roles are perhaps the biggest enemies of creativity! My go to downtime tips are : 1. Cat naps - these are your biggest energisers. Don’t underestimate the power of 15 minutes of shut eye! 2. Read a book - preferably fiction. It helps distract you from the pressures of everyday work while throwing you into a world of fantasy, thereby fuelling your creativity 3. Meditate - nothing calms the mind, body and soul like meditation does. Preferably closer to nature, these few minutes recharge you like nothing will, while helping you navigate through all that work pressure. Hope this helps!

Take rest whenever possible, even by playing quick, fun games with colleagues to recharge and take a break. Starting the day with meditation and breathing exercises can really help energize both mind and body. Also take quick naps, doctor's suggest when you feel sleepy just close your eyes atleast for 15-20 mins.
