A simplified overview can be - 1) Set up: Define project objectives, scope, benefits, stakeholders, risk and governance framework 2) Delivery: Implementation plan, methodology, timeline, and resourcing as per budget 3) Close down: Reflect on successes and areas for improvement The right project team and tools can pull above together and may include, management and coordination roles, HR subject matter experts, technical support, finance representatives, change and communication support etc.

As the HR project manager, one of your roles is risk manager. When working on a project, it is your duty to understand the risks and issues during the project planning stage. This will allow you to better communicate best practices moving forward, as well as being able to inform best practices for when issues arise. A big demoralizer to the team is when the project lead is not able to properly identify a risk beforehand and cannot provide clear guidance on how to solve it in the moment. Prevent this by being ready to accept and reduce risks and issues beforehand and as they arise.

Continuous Improvement: Embrace a culture of continuous improvement by regularly evaluating project performance, collecting feedback, and implementing lessons learned. Use feedback mechanisms to identify areas for improvement, optimize processes, and enhance project outcomes over time.
