HR without impact is just a bunch of administrators in my view (with all due respect to all administrators) I am not a big fan of audit. I am big fan of open heart conversations. Talk to every employee directly. An ideal organization should have 1 HR for every 50 employees. Only then frequent conversations can happen on development, growth, aspirations, grievances etc else it's just a tick mark process. I repeat when I said 1 HR, I mean effective people advocate and not administrative HR.

The point is to communicate and listen to what employees want, what a good environment looks like to them. Then, try to outline what kind of environment they want. It is also important to learn the culture and values of each employee, how their culture can be adapted to the company culture and how it can encourage their performance to be more positive.

When people understand the why of what they do, they will be more passionate and emotionally invested. 3. Promote awareness of EQ mindfulness and the impact that one's behavior can have on others i.e. be mindful even if your mind is full

Before you do a culture audit or an employee engagement survey make sure you have executive buy in and an executive champion who isn't from HR. If you ask people's opinion and do a visible culture audit employees rightfully expect to receive information on the findings and for the results to inform change/action. If you do nothing with the results you are better off not doing it!
