Minha experiência em sensoriamento remoto para SIG iniciou-se na prática e depois na teoria e conceitos. Porém acredito que conhecer os conceitos-chave agiliza o aprendizado, ent?o sugiro um estudo prévio. Atualmente como existem muitas fontes de dados gratuitas (NASA, Google Earth Engine, USGS EarthExplorer e as próprias prefeituras (ex. Prefeitura de Curitiba) que as vezes disponibilizam suas bases de dados vetoriais e matriciais, bem como, softwares opensource como o QGIS, entre outros, que fazem que o aprendizado seja muito mais rápido e fácil.

If I were to start my journey all again,here's what I would do: -Start learning the basics/theory of Remote Sensing.Remote Sensing of the Environment: An Earth Resource Perspective" by John R. Jensen is a good book to get started. There's plenty of online courses as well. -Play around with Remote Sensing software eg ENVI, Erdas Imagine, QGIS, or ArcGIS with extensions like ArcGIS Image Analyst. These tools allow you to process, analyze, and interpret remote sensing data . -Practice...practice and more practice -Specialize in a domain and explore how the different remote sensing data types present themselves in that domain. -Keep practising... you will get good with time -And don't forget to keep up with trends in the industry-journals??

Some things I've found helpful is to work with remotely sensed data like satellites imageries in GIS. You can read metadata of satellites imageries and in the same time Google search about every thing you can see in the metadata files! Of course you can participate in a remote sensing course.

Consider becoming a survey professional or taking the basics of survey science first. Next, consider taking courses in remote sensing from professional remote sensing experts. Remote sensing is not GIS. GIS professionals may use the data from these instruments but the expertise to interpret the data expands into various scientific areas. It’s a wonderful career path that requires much training to gain proficiency in the practice.
