First access the situation. Make standard operating procedures. Design system so that deadline can be met . Motivate employees so that best outcome can be obtained. Focus shall be on procedures. Implement best practices in the industry to get favorable outcome and meet the deadlines. If deadlines are unrealistic try to find out the root cause by using various software tools and try to mitigate them

Assessing the situation: Before getting into the zone of stating the impossible, think about the WHY the deadline is such? Put yourself in those shows and visualize what you would do. If you keep an open mind, there is a high chance you will see a method or an approach which is in mutual benefit.

Its very necessary for both parties to understand that having clarity and transparency in their communication will open optimistic avenues in regards to both parties. Timeboxing, in particular, allocates fixed time periods to tasks, promoting focus and efficiency. In managing the development of a new avionics system, we used CPM to identify and focus on activities that directly impacted the project timeline, while timeboxing was used for iterative design tasks, ensuring that progress was steady and manageable. For non-core activities or highly specialised tasks that could cause delays, consider strategic outsourcing or forming partnerships with external entities that have the requisite expertise.
