Contingency is my go to answer, Never only rely on your normal suppliers, you always need a backup plan. You may have a great archive of suppliers that you have a strong and good relationship with, however sometimes a situation may be beyond their control or yours and you need a solution in a tight time frame. Therefore a list of back up suppliers who want your business and are eager to come to your aid is always a good solution.

local suppliers is my first opinion ! Get sewer/ volunteer and get it done in studio well ahead in time. In this way you can expedite and as well manage the quality ! If something is special that can be only done overseas - I would look for other logistic option . But the best answer plan way ahead to avoid this last minute issue

I look after my suppliers and tend to go over and beyond for them as a norm, for the day when I need a returned “favour”. I also try to work ahead of time with scheduled follow ups with my suppliers so I don’t get into situation where there are deadlines. And lastly I give myself grace if I tried my absolute best and missed a deadline. The stress isn’t worth my peace if I gave it my all….Then I get on with it and work on plan b.

If you have a tight deadline it might be best to work with multiple sewers. Relying on one person (or just yourself) can cause a lot of stress. Finding multiple sewers and delegating to match their different strengths will allow you to free up time. If must sew alone get some help with other task like cutting fabric or steaming garments. Anything but waiting to the last minute.

i will make timely schedule, and checked details with supplier in advance to make sure everything is controlled, and at same time, make plan B to replaced if anything unexcepted happen.
