This is the time to listen. Ask questions and find out what their concerns are. Depending on the context, they may not feel comfortable sharing their reasons around everyone. Support and don't judge. Reflect back what you understand and show that you care about their opinion. If you're approaching this from the leadership side, this may be an opportunity to empower workers to solve their own issues. Or, you might be in a position to remove a roadblock. Treat this as an opportunity to discover and mitigate pain points in your organization.

Dealing with team conflicts during software integration can be challenging, but I've found a few effective strategies. First, I organize a meeting to discuss the issues openly. Listening to each team member’s concerns helps identify the root cause. I encourage open communication and remind the team of our common goal. Pairing team members with differing views on tasks often helps them understand each other better. Establishing clear roles and responsibilities reduces misunderstandings. Regular check-ins help address any new issues quickly. By fostering a supportive environment, I aim to resolve conflicts swiftly and keep the project on track.

Conflict arises when guidelines and instructions are unclear to the teams, and when not everyone is aligned with the objectives. The first step is to identify the problem and clearly explain it to everyone. Then, conduct a brainstorming session to generate solutions, providing clear guidelines and constraints. Finally, reach a solution through reasoned discussion and consensus

Conflicts are not a bad thing. They are opportunities for improvement. Knowing well everyone in the team helps a lot to figure out the root cause of the issue faster. On the other hand, every conflict helps a lot in getting to know your teammates better. My personal preference (although not being a lead or a manager) is to talk and listen to the people one by one first, avoiding taking sides in the conflict, to see the issue from their point of view. Then if needed, ask more questions before discussing the possible solutions. I also look for identifying the best person (who has the necessary knowledge, experience and most importantly, constructive ideas) to deal with the particular aspects of the issue. I listen to and support that person

Conflict is an inevitable consequence of organizational interactions...Numerous reasons for conflict.. including but not only limited to lack of equal opportunities ,goal incompatibility, personality differences, and communication challenges.... . Leadership style in handling conflict "Matters".. its very important to... pave the way for clear communication..bring positivity in the team/organization environment. While each conflict and the people involved is unique in one way or the other.. these things make it very important to choose right resolution technique/approach..(depends on different parameter/sitution..).... Collaborate/Problem solve approach Withdraw/Avoid approach Compromise/Reconcile approach Smooth/Accommodate approach

What I've seen really working well was that the good leaders I've had, sincerely acknowledged everyone's contribution, listened actively and never blamed or ashamed anyone, even when someone had made a mistake. They stayed focused on making progress towards the goal.

Maybe large teams are a good place to learn this by following the established rules, while the smaller teams are better to practice it. Working in a small team I've often had to dynamically change my role in the process. I've learned that identifying the task I can do best and which I will feel best doing at the moment, as well as taking responsibility, can help me be the most productive and efficient. It also would motivate others to do their best too.

Ensure everyone is on the same page. Remember that probably everyone is building towards the same goal. Keep that in mind. Also make sure any findings are blameless. This will make people more willing to collaborate.

Good teams face and solve the conflicts and grow. Great teams do that before conflicts have even emerged, saving their own energy to grow much faster.

Revisit the integration points. Check the previously captured integration documents/MoM if any i.e. API, config, settings, data exchange & etc. Validate the assumptions taken then & update integration documents. The deviation & modification & new assumptions found; Well, this needs collaboration, triage, regular scrum & bit of patience. Big/small team does not matter much. Concentrate on integration points, because software is input->process->output i.e. ones output is other's input.

It's important to always address conflicts. Even if they can't be solved, at least show that you are aware and take everybody for serious. Omitance can encourage some personalities to escalate their behavior and can cause others to hide away. Both damages collaboration.
