Offer training sessions to help the team understand and adapt to the new technology. Address their concerns and provide support to ease the transition.

Having written a book on this subject which covers 15 case studies of successful implementation of IoT bundled with AI, I would first try to explain the team in a layman way about the impact of the solution. Idea would be to convince top management and then middle management on why it’s critical to leverage IoT in the business processes for both reducing cost and increasing top line. Numerous industries have now adopted an integrated solution which leverages IoT and then some kind of analytics to derive value for all stakeholders. This is crucial to be explained with a relevant case study for that particular problem stmt at hand.

All stakeholders from IT, Legal, Business, Operations and shared services need to be looped in early on before finalising solution architecture and the implementation plan. Data security and cyber security both are equally as IoT means you will end up exposing more assets and infrastructure to the network. You can explain and explore models where critical data is managed well and critical systems are under the firewall. Usually it is also a mindset and cultural change that makes it hard for traditional companies to think about IoT or IIoT adoption hence I emphasise first simplify the outcome and the expectations with a partner who can come to prove the pilot.

This can be avoided by involving them in the upcoming IoT transformation from day 1. People are more likely to cooperate if they feel involved. And not if they are just seen as a stakeholder who needs to be briefed from time to time. If you involve them from the beginning, they feel responsible for making the transformation a success. If you see them only as a stakeholder, they feel responsible for maintaining the status quo.

It's always good to get the fact check including for adaptation capabilities.Most of current IoT infrastructure are built on old DG capabilities it might hard for any organisation to replace but moderation are always accepted

Considering team's point and making integration easy for anyone. As we are mostly dealing with IOT firmware development, team needs to learn different #IDE and #Debug tools and understand different sensor in details. Need to come with #Arduino IDE like system which is easy to understand and for most of sensor integration already available. Which will help team to finish #POC quickly.
