To get my team on board with green building principles, I would focus on education and collaboration by organizing workshops to showcase the benefits, addressing concerns through open dialogue, sharing success stories from similar projects, and involving team members in the implementation process. By fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and informed, we can work together toward common sustainability goals and overcome resistance effectively.

When team members are hesitant about green building, it's time to turn skepticism into opportunity. Start by educating them on the benefits of sustainable design, from energy efficiency to improved occupant health. Involve them in the decision-making process to foster ownership and engagement. Share success stories and case studies to demonstrate the viability of green building. Provide training and resources to build their confidence in sustainable practices. By empowering your team, you can overcome resistance and create a culture of sustainability that drives innovation and growth.

Team leader needs to listen to the team . They might have bad experience with green building , so TL needs to understand the reason behind the concern and to analyse with them these concern whether the concern still valid or how as a team we can overcomes these problems . Informing also the benefits of green buildings and showing successful projects already done in the country or somewhere else. Training and teaching comes after that.

Integration of a green building in newer projects is relatively easier as one can forecast savings and sustainability benefits. Integration of green building principles in existing builts can be challenging if retrofit costs start appearing very large. In this case as well, sustainability or financial staff will have to prepare a solid business case- the baseline energy and water consumption vs a retrofitted with 30 to 40% lesser consumption case and the r.o.i. This has to be aligned with national emissions target reductions, company's ESG requirements and vision and mission for you to prioritize when you explain it to your teams and board. Cost saving opportunities are always welcomed. Getting top management to agree is the first step
