-Involucra a stakeholders: Participa a empleados, clientes y proveedores. - Preparación de un plan de cambio: Desarrolla estrategias para abordar resistencia.

Navigating through changes is tough and that needs to involve "tough", as in very direct, communication with stakeholders. That is the start of the 'navigation'! There are usually two reasons why capacity is not meeting demand. 1) Economical (resource both human and equipment available); i.e. the price paid for the service does not support the provision of the service and that can only mean a "tough" conversation with the client. Rate increase (the alternative would be to buy more capacity at a loss...) 2) Resource shortage. This can be caused by economics (e.g. underpaying drivers has resulted in a driver shortage in Europe) but it can be caused by a shortage of equipment. Solution same as under "1": Have some tough conversations...

Overcoming resistance to transportation network capacity changes requires proactive engagement with stakeholders. Clearly communicate benefits, address concerns, involve them in decision-making, and provide necessary training and support. Implement changes gradually, celebrate successes, and leverage change management strategies to foster a positive attitude towards the new initiatives.

The transportation sector is a place where nothing happens overnight. One has to have a back-up plan before putting up OR proposing any change as any disruption in the transportation network will severy impact the supplies either in supply side or on deliveries to the customers. As I see, the domestic transport be it to the sites or to the ports are highly local dependent and bringing in new transporter is sometimes not economical. Still if we can offer long term contract to the new players, then the costs could be absorbed over the period of time and also we may have smooth transaction going forward.

Understand the Resistance Listen to Concerns: Identify why stakeholders are resisting. Is it due to fear of job loss, lack of understanding of the changes, or discomfort with new technology? Understanding the root cause of resistance will help in addressing it more effectively. Involve Stakeholders: Involve employees, partners, and suppliers early in the process. People are more likely to support changes when they feel included in decision-making. 2. Communicate Clearly and Frequently Transparency: Provide clear information on why the change is necessary, how it will benefit the organization, and what impact it will have on individuals and the overall transportation network. Two-Way Communication: Allow stakeholders to voice their concerns.
