Not standard issues need not standard solutions. First of all everything needs to be micromanaged on daily basis and results have to be followed rapidly as well. You need to build consistency out of changes, keep focus on major things and bear in mind that devil is in details.

In my opinion your plan has to be flexible from the beginning as if your initial intention is to grow your company or share of a particular market sector you and your team + clients should be experiencing substantial changes on a regular basis ... this is why when developing a road map you have to believe you will succeed, therefore, set budgets / targets with confidence and your contingency plan should reflect the expected success The contingency plan should be the final review when holding team meetings on a regular basis ... if it's written in stone it's only going to hold you back it should compliment daily activities not give an excuse for your ambitions

Review your plan more often, leverage on predictive data analytics and the strength of your team. Be adaptive and let that reflect in the decisions taken.
