Take it.... Just take it. Criticism is really very good to add growth to your work. Listen them carefully, clear all misunderstanding. There are chances that you might have made some mistake. So again .... Take it.

When facing criticism of your design choices, it’s crucial to stay open and receptive. I’ve found that constructive feedback often highlights areas for growth. Start by listening fully—sometimes, the criticism reveals insights you hadn’t considered. Then, calmly explain your rationale, showing how your choices align with user needs and project goals. This approach turns criticism into a collaborative conversation.

Even in this situation, based on my experience, making some concessions (in certain circumstances) can help you build bridges and win supporters. Therefore, I'm always prepared for that.

Sometimes it's better to forget the bitter experience, the longer you hold, the more you will suffer. You will raise question against yourself at some point. If you are confident enough for your design, has legit points, data driven result and valid reasons then you are all good even if your design decision got criticized.
