Most stress advice focuses on managing the situation. But unshakeable resilience? It comes from resetting your nervous system in the moment. When stress takes over, your brain shifts into survival mode. A difficult colleague suddenly feels like a threat, making you react automatically—whether that’s shutting down, snapping, or over-explaining. The key? Get out of your head and into your body. ?Feel your feet on the ground. ?Notice your breath moving in and out. ?Press your fingertips together. It’s easy to believe a difficult person has to change for you to feel better. But when you shift your state, you take back control—of your energy, your presence, and your experience.

I think everybody has faced such a situation, so the foremost thing is to keep your self calm and make sure to not take things personally and make this a grudge. One of the things that could be done in such a situation is to firstly maintain your cool, and not getting worked up and overwhelmed by anything. Second is to have open conversations with the person, setting the expectations- be it letting them know how you would like to be collaborate on work projects to how much time can you devote to the project and the priority level. Also, understand their POV, sometime what you think you.know is not what might be happening
