You're facing challenges in your career path. How can you use your strengths to break through?

For years, I thought I had to be great at everything. Along came Clifton Strength finders. I encourage everyone to assess your own strengths with self reflection or any one of the numerous evaluations available. Build on your strengths, hire to your weaknesses. You can't be good at everything even if you think you can. You can't. Accept, master and excel at what you are good at and what you like. Once I realized my true strengths, I was more positive and confident.

Strengths:Think about what you're good at and what has helped you succeed before. This could be anything from solving problems to being a good communicator.

First, you need to understand whether your company is willing to recognize your accomplishments and exceptional sales or delivery or has some prejudices such as long time in the same position, or your salary is already high compared to your peers, or some other people are more visible than you, etc… If this is the case, forget about, just work for your pleasure and keep smiling. Keep going but Never sacrifice your family or interests. Maybe something will change or maybe not.

I think we must not depend on our strength points only as it is, but we must improve it every moment as the world around us innovate every second and we must go in parallel with it. So, after identify our strength points & skills we must put a plan to improve it and try to improve the weakness points too.

It is common in tve BPO industry to set unrealistic goals in order to stay within the budget or reach a breakpoint. This can be detrimental for both agents and their leaders as some times no matter how hard they work they wont be able to reach such goals. Its extremely important to keep a realistic goal to keep the team motivated and even if the end goal is further away set little steppingstones to mantain motivation.

Ask for Feedback: Get input from your colleagues, mentors, or bosses. They can tell you what you're doing well and where you can improve.

When seeking feedback, don't just focus on your current performance—ask for insights into how you might better utilize your strengths in the future. Engage in conversations about potential blind spots or unexplored areas where your strengths could be applied. This proactive feedback gathering can reveal hidden opportunities for growth, helping you to refine your strengths and adapt them to new challenges. By treating feedback as a tool for ongoing development, you'll be better equipped to navigate the complexities of your career path.

A person will have four or five career shifts in the span of his/her life and should be flexible, adaptable and proactive about his/her career. Also named as 'Protean career' taken by the Greek God Proteus who flexibly changes forms and shapes. Its a mindset game however take some small steps : - retrain your outdated skills -rewrite your cv -build your network, apply to non-open jobs, start a hybrid, freelance or p-t job. If you don't like where you re, move you are not a tree!
