This approach can simplify network management and ensure that the infrastructure can support current and future demands efficiently. Only after bandwidth optimization should QoS be considered to fine-tune network performance and ensure the reliable delivery of critical applications. In regards to Security, using IPSEC and other tunneling protocols, please take into account the extra padding such as extra headers that take space in the total 1500 bites available.

It is always important to monitor traffic. Many think that implementing monitoring means pinging the device, and if it answers, then everything is fine. This is not the case in most deployments. Of course, if you cannot ping the device, it is down, but how do you monitor if a redundant link is down or if the network device has issues with high CPU utilization and so on? We also need to ensure that there is enough capacity on the network for the data we put in and monitor the trend of the network. We cannot wait for the link to become full; we need to ensure more bandwidth or other means long before we experience problems. Otherwise, our network will fail. Therefore, monitoring tools are a very important building block as well today.
