Continue to smile, never show you are offended or irritated as that will hasten your reaction and influence the way you react. Instead smile, take a deep breath and speak slowly and confidently with you controlling the conversation rather than being offended.

Always remember that the main objective of an aggressive question is to derail you. A score to settle and aim to test your competence. So, allow the person to land and finish. Pause do not rush to answer. Start with thanking the person for such "beautiful" or ''great"...do not filibuster...But answer the question within the scope of your message or theme. If the question is outside your theme or message. Nicely, tell the person that the question is good but not relevant to your message or theme. In all, always be prepared and master your craft.

Aggressive questioning presupposes, by the Questioner, a moored interest in a particular framing of the answer. In other words, you have to identify what the Questioner wants to hear and address it in the core of your answer. Need not you agree or disagree in your answer, as long as you calmly acknowledge the content of their interest. This is usually enough to disarm the intensity of the questioning. The Questioner’s interest can be deducted by way of the Questioner response to parts of your answers. Tell tale signs of body language and intonation are key.

A simple, "I understand your concern" can go a long way. Don't get derailed by interruptions or aggressive questions. Stick to your key points. Most of all, don't let their aggression escalate yours. Respond calmly and professionally.
