This is exactly what APQP, developed years ago, helps us do. Starting by understanding the VOC and translating it into project parameters. Without this, we engineers cannot think of technical solutions capable of delivering the demand. Then the team search possible solutions and their commitments, supported by tools such as DFMEA and defines tests that can verify the project's adherence to its objectives. We continue with prototyping and testing until we reach the project objectives. Remembering that every project has to consider the production stages. Therefore, the DFSS approach is very productive. It seems like a lot of theory, but over my more than 30 years of experience, I guarantee that everything is perfectly applicable.

Regular cross-functional collaborations can also contribute to diverse perspectives that spark creative solutions. Finally, ensure that KPIs not only measure performance but also reward innovative contributions, creating a motivation to push boundaries while achieving results.
