In recent times, Figma has launched advanced features that support fast prototyping but also support animations and creating dynamic interactions like using variables. So I would say Figma, as that has been the most used tool for me and my team lately.

I’ve always liked Axure. Some find the learning curve a bit steep. But once you get to know the dynamic panels, setting states and additional conditions. But for some reason has been ignored as first sketch (with invision) and now Figma became the main design tools. Both of these tools have the same “advanced” prototyping features that PowerPoint also has, so not that elaborate in my view. And those “interaction lines” are annoying and become cluttered really fast. So if you don’t want to code but want a tool that can create advanced prototypes Axure is probably your best option.

Purely for the love of experimentations, I would recommend framer as a great advanced prototyping tool, not just for its amazing animation and component library, but also for its ease of use, similarity to Figma when it comes to the creation dashboard design and an amazing library of free resources that you can download, deep dive into and break apart to understand how another Designer created it.
