We’ve seen early signs within 4-6 weeks, particularly when refining messaging and aligning sales and marketing efforts. Quick wins often appear as increased engagement, improved lead quality, and stronger internal alignment. However, genuine, measurable ROI—such as higher revenue, customer loyalty, and enhanced pricing power—typically takes 6-12 months as your strategy gains momentum and compounds over time. Over two decades of building our brands, we’ve learned that brand strategy is a long-term commitment—consistency and cohesion deliver the most impactful returns.

There are many factors to consider when tracking the ROI and it is often difficult to calculate. Obvioulsy there are the key metrics, month by month growth, number of leads, sales conversions, marketing KPIs etc which should all start improving within 3 months or so. When you consider the wider impact though the ROI can be more dramatic. For larger organisations the ability to win better quality clients easier means that sometimes the lifetime value of just one of these clients can mean a quick and impactful ROI Also consider the increased ability to attract and/or retain talent in the business. A strong strategy should definitely help with this and thus save your staff churn rates and therefore a big saving on recruitment costs.

When it comes to brand strategy impact, ROI can really be seen if campaign performance are tracked. Therefore, consider setting up KPIs for campaign on brand equity metrics prior and post campaign. This will enable you to measure the marketing effectiveness of these core campaigns (impact on brand perception, clarify and relevance of the brand messaging, increased level of brand appeal…) against the revenues generated. This will also help refining the marketing budget accordingly by up weighting high performing activities and de-prioritising low performing activities.

You can typically expect to see tangible ROI from brand strategy efforts within 6 to 12 months. However, timing depends on factors like the market, execution, and consistency. While early signs like increased awareness may appear sooner, sustainable growth, customer loyalty, and revenue impact take time to develop. Patience and continuous optimization are key for long-term success.
