To impress as a library services intern, the skills to be needed to stand out are as follows: Knowledge of current principles and practices of library science; Knowledge of library techniques and resources, including on-line database systems; Knowledge of bibliographical tools and sources; Knowledge of current library organization, procedures, policy, and services; Ability to learn technical skills; Ability to formulate clearly and accurately, both orally and in writing; Ability to sustain and maintain adequate and public relationships; Personal characteristics necessary to perform the duties.

To stand out as a library services intern, focus on developing a combination of technical, soft, and library-specific skills.
