Excess 3d printing materials/filament could be used for client prints, if you yourself don't have a use for the specific material. Rolls could also be weighed and sold at a discount per weight. Leftover snippets and strings of filament could also be fused together to create "prototyping" filament, where colour has no bearing on the end result. Make sure to not mix different types of plastics, as this could cause numerous clogs, and be a huge detriment to printing quality.
