Be up front with your clientele. Restructure if the current coaching organizational structure & best practices are not supportive to the business lifestyle you need to be most effective w/your clients. Step 1. Access how you got to the place of being overwhelmed. Step 2. Write down anything that has the slightest hint for contributing to being overwhelmed. Step 3. Draft best practices that are healthy for your coaching practice [redraft if you already had best practices]. Step 4. Draft Memo email informing all coaching clients of updated or new best practice procedures you’ve adopted. Make sure these do not violate contract w/clients. However, if they are needed, nonetheless, offer client extra session at no cost for inconvenience.

I'll start with the language of this article...... sea of client demands, being swept away and maintaining sanity. Those are pretty dramatic word choices. The words that you use to describe your circumstances will have an impact on how you're feeling. Using dramatic words will add to your stress. My biggest tip would be to dial down the description to just the neutral facts. That alone will bring your stress level down a notch. Saying I have a full schedule feels much different than saying you are trying not to be swept away by a sea of client demands. Managing your thoughts will have the biggest impact.

It is important for life coaches to maintain balance and sanity as we cannot serve, help and guide others if we cannot help ourselves. Some of the strategies are: 1. Practice or Prioritize Self-care and me time: Everyday take out some time to do things that you love doing. Have a morning routine and do some kind of physical exercise on a regular basis whether it is jogging, walking, gym or yoga. 2. Don't hesitate to ask for help or support if needed. 3. Set boundaries: Let the clients know about your availability and working hours and be firm on it. 4. Reflect and review your progress and make changes if required.
